For this assignment, you will create a video accompanied by the audio of the song of your choice.

Trying using a song that tells a story, and create a video to tell that story. The story in your head that you see when you close your eyes.

Keep it clean, keep it focused, and make it good.

Script and Storyboard Due on June 8th, Final video do on June 14th.

This video will act as your final exam and you will be graded on the following.

How well the music is synced up to the video. 12pts
How much a story you tell with the song. 14pts
Variety of Camera Angles 14pts
Editing matches the beat of the music. 12pts
Script clearly lays out what happens in the film, shot by shot. 12pts
Script uses proper formatting 12pts
Video has a fade in and fade out, with Credit Roll.12pts
Video has a professional feel.12pts

New Assignment: One Long Shot

A video that tells a story, for one long shot, between 2 and 5 minutes. Here’s the catch. You must have a story, have characters, and have each actor in place. It will take mutliple takes to get it right, but it cannot contain any cuts, wipes, dissovles or any other transitions.

Close Up Video Assignment

Your next assignment will be to create a 2-3 minute video consisting entirely of close up shots.

The movie can be about anything as long as it is school appropriate, doesn’t have violence or any trash can usage.

This film will be an original short. It could be a funny movie, it could be a serious movie. Mr. Strong likes serious movies, its hard to be funny, sometimes it’s impossible to be funny. People are picky. Mr. Strong is picky. Either way, come up with a story, write up the script and storyboard.

By only using only close ups, you will be able to really go into a story, into a person’s head.
